LAKE SEASON IS AROUND THE CORNER. HENDERSONVILLE MEDICAL CENTER TO OFFER PUBLIC CPR CERTIFICATION CLASSHENDERSONVILLE, TN (March 13, 2007) - According to the American Academy of Pediatrics, drownings rank behind only motor-vehicle accidents as the leading cause of death among youngsters in middle childhood. CPR training is an invaluable skill that could someday save someones life, said Cindy Thompson, CPR Instructor for Hendersonville Medical Center. This course will train individuals to overcome any reluctance to act in an emergency and to recognize and treat respiratory, cardiac, and medical emergencies in children and adults. The participant will learn CPR and the use of the defibrillator along with basic first aid. Certification is provided to participants at the end of this course upon successfully completing the written examination and skills demonstrations. The course fee is $50 per person.
